Hey cHEwY gum gums!

I’m proud to be an ambassador for Room to Read and this wonderful organisation is celebrating Booktober with some bookstore and fundraising events. I’ll be at the Red Oak on Clarence Street on October 1st for Books for Beers, where sales will go towards Room to Read. I’m also going to be signing books at Berkelouw Books in Mona Vale on October 26th from 10am to midday. Come down and say hi and support this worthy cause!

I really like your song lists. My favourite song is Feelin’ Good by Christina Grimmie.

    Dear Oliver,

Thank you so much for coming to Mona Vale Berkelouw today. My children and I enjoyed seeing you there and hearing you speak. I am having a quiet afternoon now as they are happily reading your books.
You struck a cord with me when you spoke about eating Thai food at school and being teased. This was my experience too, except my food was lebanese bread wraps stuffed with strange meats and vegetables. I begged my mother for devon sandwiches and one day she finally conceded and I got my wish. I had never tasted anything so disgusting in my life and from then on I was happy with my lunch.
The work you do with room to read is wonderful.

looking forward to your future books

    Nicole

Thanks Nicole, I’m chuffed that you can relate to my books, I think embarrassment is a timeless thing hehe. I hope your kids continue to enjoy books and the magic of reading. Cheers!
