I’m coming back to Sydney for the Writers Festival, kicking off with a panel on Writing Western Sydney on Saturday, May 19th, 4pm. Then I’ll be doing a week full of school days in the City, Parramatta and Penrith. Photos and goss on my Facebook fan page and blog. But come down and say hi to me on Saturday!

Hey cHEwY gum gums in Adelaide, I’ll be coming your way in May! I’ll be spending two weeks for the May Gibbs creative fellowship, working on a new book! Sutherland Library Talk and Workshop

Punchlines School Launch

This week, I launched my third book, Punchlines at Lansvale Public School and it was awesummi! So many laughs, kids and of course book signings

I have my bookstore launch happening on April 21st, 11am at Beecroft Childrens Bookshop! Come on down and say hi, you’ll have some yummy food and company (and laughs too).

Melbourne Children’s Book Festival

I’m down in Melbourne this week, as my new book Punchlines is out! And I’m celebrating at the Children’s Book Festival in the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne.

I will also be in the Blue Mountains, for the Norman Linsday Festival, it’s on this Sunday March 25th…tickets are still available so come on down!

Somerset Festival

I’ll be heading up to the Gold Coast for the Somerset Festival, from March 14th to 16th. I’ll be doing talks for the kids but I’m also involved in some panels for adults; a digital storytelling session on the 15th of March at 6pm. I’ll also be co-MCing the Slam the Mic comp with resident mad poet Ghostboy on Friday morning. Plus copies of Punchlines will be on sale, yep that’s right a week before release, beat that Mother Time hehe. For more info and programme, check out their website. Perth Writers Festival 2012

My first festival of the year will happen in glorious Perth, from February 23rd to the 26th. I’ll be doing 2 workshops on writing humour on the 23rd and the 26th (which is the family fun day!). So if you know any kids, bring them along. Check out the PWF website for more info. I’m excited for my first trip to Western Australia, hope to see some of my old and new cHEwY gum gums.

Libraries around Australia are hosting summer reading programs and I’ll be involved with Queensland’s own ‘Amazing Read’ program with an online session on January 17th. I’ll be joined by legends such as Andy Griffiths and Morris Gleitzman who are also doing their own sessions. Check out their website for more info on how you can join me for some summer reading fun!

CBCA Northern Sydney Christmas Party!

On November 30th, I’ll be at Balgowah RSL for the CBCA Northern Sydney Sub-branch. We have special guests Anna Fineberg and Kim Gamble, author and illustrator team of Tashi among other books. Anna will also be reading from her brand new book that won’t be out until next year! We also have loads of prizes, raffles, auctions of great illustrations and a chance to mingle with book lovers!
